Product Description:
SUN*MED Thassos Black wrinkled Olives are hand-picked when
very ripe, slowly dry cured in layers of sea salt for a
period of 3-4 months. Once cured they are cleaned, and then
lightly coated with olive oil they are vacuum packed. This
curing process gives these olives a unique sweet and natural
taste. These olives are completely different of other
wrinkled dried Olives, i.e., Moroccan or infornato type,
which are cured & dried chemically and in ovens overnight.
We usually source them from small farmers from the island of
Thassos, with whom we have long term relationship to assure
the best quality and we process them, at our factory in
Greece

Thassos Black Wrinkled Olives are ready to use right out of
the container. In Greece, they are commonly eaten sprinkled
with olive oil and oregano, while sipping a glass of wine or
ouzo. Enjoy them raw as an appetizer.
